Fishing has been very good at Cedar Creek Lake in Texas this spring!
White bass are staging over main lake humps and points in water 18-22 ft, being caught in chrome or chartreuse jigging spoons. Watch for diving gulls especially on cloudy days that will lead you to schooling fish. Hybrids also being caught mixed in with the white bass, so check fish carefully, they must be 18 inches in length to keep, 5 fish per day.
Crappie are being caught under shaded docks, next to bridge columns and over brushpiles in water 4-12 ft on small jigs and minnows.
Channel catfish are being caught on livers and stink bait around boat houses and drifting shallow coves. Blue Catfish are being caught on small shad fished under a cork near retaining walls especially where there is current or wind blown waves.
Redear sunfish and shell crackers are being caught on small crickets around weeded drop offs.
Lake is at full level and 66 degrees as of this writing.
