With the hot temps setting in, the white bass will be on their summer patterns. Early morning schooling on the key ranch flats and also out from the dam. Look for herons or egrets hovering over the water, use small topwaters or inline spinners. Once fish go down, switch to chrome or chartreuse jigging spoons, drop it down to bottom and reel it fast then let it drop. Done Hybrids being caught with the sandies, so check fish carefully.
Summer is also trolling time, use a hellbender type lure with a 4-6 ft trailer behind it. Small rooster tails or pet spoons will produce quick limits. Main lake points 13-17 feet likely areas.
Crappie being caught over brushpiles and around bridge pillars in 8-14 ft of water, being caught on small jigs and minnows.
Catfish being caught on cut shad and livers around fish cleaning docks, also drifting over shallow flats.
Red ear bluegills being caught on crickets and mayflies along weeded banks in 6-10 feet of water.
Stay hydrated this time of year, I recommend one water bottle every other hour.
