With water temps in the high 50’s fish are feeding well in anticipation of winter whether we have a cold one or not. White bass biting well on chrome and chartreuse jigging spoons on humps and points in water 16-20 ft, drop lure to bottom, 1-2 turns then jig it up and down. Most bites occur while raising lure.
Crappie are good over brushpiles in 8-12 ft, around bridge columns and shaded boat docks. Small minnows and jigs in many color combinations are working well.
Blue cats are fair being caught drifting over main lake humps and under roosting pelicans. Cut shad is bait of choice for big blue catfish.
Channel catfish being caught on livers and blood bait around fish cleaning stations as well as baited holes in shallow coves 8-15 ft deep.
Largemouth Bass being caught on spinner baits and crank baits around docks and jig and plastic worms around riprap and shaded bridge columns.
