June 20th, 2024022On cloudy mornings we look for schooling under the birds, using shad colored rattletraps or swim baits. If it’s windy position boat upwind of schooling activity and drift thru the schooling. Watch your fish closely, lots of undersized hybrids mixed in with the sandies.

July 11th, 2023030As of this writing water temperature on Cedar Creek Lake is 86 degrees. A moderate thermocline has set up around 19-21 feet which means fish are staging above that depth range. The sandies are stacking up on main lake points in water 10-13 feet. Very few fish being caught deeper than that right now.
