With water temps in high 80s a thermocline has set in around 21 feet which means low oxygen levels below that depth. The Sandies are stacked up on midlake points and humps from 12 to 15 feet. Hell/pet rigs work well don’t put out more than 35 to 40 feet of line in order to keep your rigs from snagging on bottom snags.
Hybrids will suspend around edges of humps again just above the 21 foot thermocline level. You can troll many things besides hell/pet rigs. Small sassy shads behind a hellbender, jet diver or trip z rigs, even a bill normal DD 22 deep diving crankbait will work.
